Pittsburgh Police, Fire, and EMS Respond to Shooting Incident in Carri

Summary:

Just before 7:30 p.m., Pittsburgh Police, Fire, and EMS were dispatched to the 100 block of Meredith Street in Carrick for reports of a male shot in the leg.

Arriving officers located a 19-year-old male inside of a residence with a gunshot wound to his upper right thigh. He was conscious, alert, and speaking with officers and medics.

The male was transported by Pittsburgh EMS in stable condition to an area hospital.

The Mobile Crime Unit was called to process evidence and Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.

While the investigation is ongoing, at this time, there is not believed to be a risk to the public.
