Pittsburgh, PA – Beginning the morning of Sunday, July 13, PennDOT will close the southbound Route 28 ramp to southbound I-579 to allow crews from Swank Construction to perform bridge repair work on I-579.
This long-term repair effort follows inspection activities that identified significant deterioration on several piers along I-579 and its HOV lanes. The closure is necessary to safely facilitate this critical infrastructure work.
