Update: Stephen Williams was located deceased on September 9, 2025. His death is now being investigated as a homicide.
Jose Soto Jr., 25, was arrested in this case. He is charged with Criminal Homicide, Conspiracy, and Robbery.
The investigation is ongoing.

The Special Victims Unit is searching for a missing 42-year-old man.
Stephen Williams was last seen leaving the Downtown Wyndham on September 5, 2025, at 11:15 p.m. He was seen shortly after midnight on Strawberry Way by the U.S. Steel Building.
An individual reportedly found Stephen's cell phone on the ground in Point State Park near the Wyndham late Friday night, but detectives have been unable to make contact with the unhoused person who located it.
He is described as 5’6” and weighing approximately 130 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white/red baseball hat, a white Michael Jordan jersey, blue jeans, and red/white Jordan shoes.
