VCU Detectives Arrest Female in South Side Homicide

Just before 1 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 3 responded to the 1200 block of E. Carson St. for reports of a female shot inside a business.

Responding units located the victim inside suffering from at least two gunshot wounds. Officers performed CPR until medics could transport her to the hospital in critical condition. She was pronounced deceased a short time later.

The female actor fled the scene and was later taken into custody to be questioned by police. Myairah Carter, 25, of Baldwin was arrested and charged with Criminal Homicide and is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
