UPDATE: Seraiah Ramsey, 26, of Pittsburgh, has been charged with the following in connection with this incident: simple assault, aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon. She has since surrendered to Pittsburgh Police and is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 4 were dispatched to the intersection of 5th Avenue and Craft Avenue in the South Oakland neighborhood for reports of a victim with a gunshot wound.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult female victim outside on a sidewalk with a single gunshot wound to the chest.
Pittsburgh EMS transported the victim to the hospital in critical condition.
The Mobile Crime Unit responded to process the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
