UPDATE:EMS, Fire, Police Respond to Male in River off Point State Park

UPDATE:UPDATE: Pittsburgh Police located the owner of harp, which was stolen from a residence in Bethel Park. Bethel Park PD is handling the burglary investigation related to this incident, while DCNR Rangers will be pursuing charges of receiving stolen property.

Original post: Just before 3:30 p.m., Pittsburgh EMS, River Rescue, Pittsburgh Police, Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire, and DCNR Rangers responded to reports of a male in the water at Point State Park.DCNR Rangers and Pittsburgh Police were able to bring the individual to shore prior to the arrival of other units. River Rescue, Medic 14, Rescue 2, and Unit 501 provided medical care at the scene.

The male was subsequently transported to UPMC Mercy in stable condition for further treatment.
Prior to his rescue, the male brought a full size harp valued at approximately $30 K to the river bank before disrobing and jumping in. 
Police are investigating in an attempt to ensure the man is the rightful owner of the instrument.
The investigation is ongoing.
