Police Make Arrest in Hazelwood Aggravated Assault

At 11:25 p.m., Zone 4 officers were dispatched to the 200 block of E. Elizabeth St. for a one-round ShotSpotter alert. Arriving units located a male with a gunshot graze wound to the head. Medics transported him to the hospital in stable condition.

Police later received information that the suspect may have run into a residence on Elizabeth. They surrounded the house and gave verbal hails. After a short period of time, the actor exited the house and he was taken into custody without incident.

Violent Crime Unit detectives will continue with the investigation.
