Police Investigate Hit and Run of Motorcyclist in Chateau

At ~ 9:30 pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2026, the Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police responded to a motorcycle vs. vehicle crash on Western Ave. and Fontella St.

Arriving units located the male motorcycle rider on the ground, initially unconscious. He regained consciousness and medics transported him to the hospital in stable condition. The driver of the vehicle did not remain on scene.

The vehicle was located unoccupied a short distance away.

Plainclothes detectives are investigating. The investigation is ongoing.
