Police, EMS Respond for Gunshot Victim in Homewood North

At approximately 2:50 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 responded to two ShotSpotter alerts totaling 13 rounds in the 7200 block of Race Street.

Arriving units located a male victim with a gunshot wound to his left side in the lower back. Medics transported him to the hospital in stable condition.

Violent Crime Unit (VCU) and Mobile Crime Unit detectives responded to the scene.

VCU detectives will continue with the investigation.
