Pittsburgh Police and EMS Respond to Shooting in Homewood North

Just before 6:30 p.m., the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police was dispatched to the 7000 block of Monticello Street in the Homewood North neighborhood for a single ShotSpotter alert totaling eight rounds.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a single gunshot wound to the arm. Two homes in the area sustained damage from the gunfire. No one inside the homes was injured.

Pittsburgh EMS transported the victim to the hospital in stable condition.

The Mobile Crime Unit arrived to process the scene and recovered a firearm and shell casings.

The investigation is actively ongoing.
