Pittsburgh Police Investigate Shooting in East Hills Neighborhood

At approximately 8:20 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 were dispatched to the 2300 block of East Hills Drive in the East Hills neighborhood for a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim inside a residence suffering from a single gunshot wound to the neck and immediately initiated life-saving measures.

Pittsburgh EMS paramedics responded and administered a whole blood transfusion in the field. The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition.

The Mobile Crime Unit is responding to process the scene.

Detectives from the Violent Crime Unit are leading an active and ongoing investigation.
