Pittsburgh Police Investigate Shooting Incident in Stanton Heights

At approximately 7:20 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 were dispatched to the intersection of Stanton Avenue and Woodbine Street in the Stanton Heights neighborhood for reports of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 15-year-old juvenile male outside, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and legs. Officers immediately rendered first aid and applied tourniquets to control the bleeding. Preliminary information indicates the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.

Pittsburgh EMS paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.

The Mobile Crime Unit responded to process the scene.

Violent Crime Unit detectives are conducting an ongoing investigation.
