At approximately 12:45 a.m., Pittsburgh Bureau of Police from Zone 1 and the Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS were dispatched to the 2600 block of California Avenue for a reported stabbing.
Preliminary information indicates that a fight broke out among several individuals inside an establishment. Security escorted those involved outside, where the altercation continued.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male outside suffering from slash wounds to the back and jaw. The suspects remain unidentified at this time. Officers are reviewing security footage and interviewing witnesses.
Pittsburgh EMS medics provided on-scene treatment to control the bleeding and transported the adult male to a local hospital in stable condition.
The Mobile Crime Unit responded to process the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing.
