Pittsburgh Police Arrest Male Wanted on Multiple Felony Warrants

On February 26, 2025, Pittsburgh Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit detectives, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, arrested Melik Johnson, 24, of Pittsburgh on multiple felony warrants, including one for an August 7, 2024 robbery of a firearm in the 7500 block of Mulford St. 
Johnson is charged with Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy, Theft by Unlawful Taking, and Possessing Instruments of a Crime. 
Johnson was also wanted in connection with his flight while in a stolen vehicle in the South Side Flats neighborhood on September 24, 2024. The vehicle was recovered moments later, but Johnson had fled the scene on foot. As a result of the incident, officers recovered a firearm from the vehicle which Johnson had been occupying. 
In connection with that incident, Johnson was charged with Receiving Stolen Property, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Theft by Unlawful taking, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia, Carrying a Loaded Weapon, and numerous summary traffic violations. 
Johnson was transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
