At approximately 6 p.m., Pittsburgh EMS and Pittsburgh Fire were called to a residence in the 2500 block of Mission Street for reports of a partially collapsed exterior staircase.
Arriving units located a female who had fallen approximately 20-25 feet to the ground below. EMS Rescue crews extricated the female using a rope system and moved her to safety using a Stokes basket. She was transported to the hospital in stable condition with injuries to her lower extremities.
Building inspectors with the Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections (PLI) responded to assess the integrity and safety of the structure.
