EMS, Fire, Police Respond to Two-Vehicle Collision in South Side Flats

At approximately 8:30 p.m. on May 31, 2025, Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS, Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire, Pittsburgh Bureau of Police responded to the 3200 Block of East Carson Street in the South Side Flats for a two-vehicle collision involving a rollover and entrapment.

An SUV and an electric vehicle were involved in a collision, resulting in the SUV overturning and subsequently striking a light pole. Upon arrival, EMS crews located two patients trapped inside the overturned SUV. A third occupant exited the vehicle prior to their arrival.

Rescue paramedics stabilized the vehicle and performed a roof removal to extricate the two entrapped individuals. EMS medics then initiated medical care on scene.

Two patients were transported to the hospital in stable condition; one patient was transported in critical condition.

The adult male driver of the second vehicle, the electric vehicle, remained on scene and did not report any injuries.

The Collision Investigation Unit came to process the scene.

Pittsburgh Police are investigating the incident.
