At approximately 5:00 p.m., Pittsburgh Bureau of Police was notified that two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds arrived at a local hospital by private means.

Preliminary information indicates that a group of individuals were driving near Roberts Street when an adult male’s firearm accidentally discharged while in his lap, striking himself in the leg and another adult male in the knee. Both are listed in stable condition.

VCU Detectives confirmed the adult male had a valid permit to carry.

The Mobile Crime Unit will process the vehicle.
