Police Investigate After Female Shot in East Hills Neighborhood

Police, Fire, and EMS responded to the 8000 block of Bennett Street at approximately 7:30 a.m. for reports of a female shot.

Arriving units located an adult female outside suffering from gunshot wounds to the thigh.

Medic 11 transported her to the hospital in stable condition.

The Mobile Crime Unit was called to process evidence at the scene. The victim was largely uncooperative with police.

Violent Crime Unit detectives will continue with the investigation.
