Just after 9:30 a.m., Pittsburgh Police, Fire, and EMS were dispatched to the 1100 block of Sunday Street in the city’s California-Kirkbride neighborhood for reports of a semi-truck over a hillside.

Arriving emergency responders quickly determined that the truck was not, in fact, over the hillside, but was wedged between a retaining wall and a utility pole.

No injuries were reported.

Collision Investigation Unit detectives responded to the scene and the driver indicated he mis-navigated the roadways. No charges are expected at this time.

McGann & Chester Towing also arrived to the scene and will utilize a crane to free the vehicle.

Drivers should avoid the area while the operation is underway.
