Male Found Shot in Homewood North, SVU Investigating

Just before 10:30 p.m., Police, Fire, and EMS responded to the 7300 block of Monticello St. for a reported shooting.

Arriving units located a male in his mid-30s in the street with a gunshot wound to the thigh. Medics transported the victim to the hospital in critical condition. He has since been upgraded to stable.

Mobile Crime Unit detectives processed the scene.

There are no arrests at this time. Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
