Fugitive Apprehension Unit Detectives Arrest Two on Firearms Charges

Pittsburgh Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit detectives, with the assistance of SWAT, served a search warrant in the 3400 block of Webster Avenue for Dior Davis, who was wanted on a firearms related arrest warrant. 

Following verbal commands for all occupants of the residence to egress via the rear door, Dior Davis exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident.

Davis,19, is charged with Carrying a Firearm without a License and Persons Not to Possess. 

During the execution of the warrant, a firearm was thrown from a third-floor window. A drone was able to capture the attempted destruction of the evidence and a K9 located the firearm by tracking its odor. Elijah Gist, 19, was subsequently arrested and charged with Persons not to Possess and Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Both Davis and Gist were transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
