At approximately 11:45 p.m., an adult male arrived by private vehicle at Allegheny General Hospital with two gunshot wounds to the back.
Initially, the victim was in critical condition, but he has since been upgraded to critical, but stable condition.
The early investigation indicates the shooting potentially took place in the 5700 block of Butler Street.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating, including reviewing all possible video footage in the area.
The investigation is ongoing.
