Just before 11:30 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 4, Pittsburgh EMS, and Pittsburgh Fire were dispatched to the 200 block of East End Avenue for reports of an argument followed by shots fired.
While units were en route, dispatch updated officers with reports there was a shooting victim. Arriving officers located the adult male victim in the 7700 block of Brashear Street. He was conscious, alert, and speaking with officers and medics.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound to his back/shoulder area and a minor graze wound to his chin. He was transported by Pittsburgh EMS to an area hospital in serious, but stable condition.
Witnesses described to officers that there was an altercation on the street between the male victim and two other males prior to the shooting taking place.
The Crime Scene Unit responded to process all available evidence.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
