Pittsburgh Police, Fire, and EMS Respond to Shooting in Brookline

At approximately 10:15 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 6 were dispatched to the 700 block of Gallion Avenue in the city’s Brookline neighborhood for reports of a shooting.

Arriving officers located an adult male victim with a single gunshot wound to his leg. The male was conscious, alert, and speaking with officers and medics. He was transported by Pittsburgh EMS in stable condition to a local hospital.

The victim was uncooperative, and would not indicate to officers what had transpired.

The Mobile Crime Unit responded to process all available evidence. And Violent Crime Unit detectives were called to investigate the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
