Violence Prevention Unit detectives conducted a traffic stop at Knox and Zara Street on Friday, March 15, 2024.
The driver, identified as 29-year-old Dawian Harper, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Detectives then applied for a search warrant for the vehicle and recovered a Glock 44 .22 caliber pistol, heroin/ fentanyl, more than $2100 in U.S. currency, a cardboard box containing hundreds of pre-packaged stamp bags, packaging paraphernalia, and two clear plastic bags containing marijuana.
Harper faces multiple charges including Carrying a Firearm Without a License, Persons Not to Possess, and Possession with Intent to Deliver.
