UPDATE: Police, Fire, and EMS Respond to Shooting in Larimer

UPDATE: Police have made an arrest in this case.

Rawvil Yamil Brito Chirinos, 25, is charged with Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Robbery, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

He was transported to the Allegheny County Jail.

Just after 12:35 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5, Fire, and EMS were dispatched to the 6600 block of Frankstown Avenue for a reported aggravated assault.

Arriving units located a 70-year-old male victim outside the lobby area of a nursing home who had suffered a through and through gunshot wound to his stomach.

Firefighters administered aid to the victim until medics could transport him to the hospital. He relayed to officers that he was also robbed of cash and his wedding band by an unknown male. He was last listed in critical condition at the hospital.

Mobile Crime Unit detectives located a crime scene in the parking lot area of the building.

The Violent Crime Unit is investigating.
