UPDATE: Police are searching for a third female who is believed to have fired the one round that grazed the first victim and struck the other in the chest.

The investigation is ongoing. Both victims are in their 20s.

Just before 4 a.m., Pittsburgh Police received reports that a female had arrived at a local hospital by private means with a gunshot wound to the chest.

She arrived in critical condition, but was able to provide information to officers that the incident had occurred at 42nd and Butler Street.

A short time later, police received information that a second female was dropped off at a separate hospital with a graze wound to the arm. She arrived in stable condition. The witness who drove her to the hospital confirmed that she sustained her injuries at 42nd and Butler.

Police received initial witness statements that there had been an argument inside a business in the area, but the individuals had later moved outside where the shooting occurred.

The Violent Crime Unit is investigating. Mobile Crime Unit detectives processed evidence at the scene.
