At 8:45 p.m., Pittsburgh Police, Fire, and EMS were dispatched to the 100 block of Knox Avenue for reports of shots fired inside an apartment building.
Arriving units located a male victim with a gunshot wound to the torso on nearby Charles Street. Medics transported him to the hospital in stable condition. He was later downgraded to critical condition and taken into surgery.
A second male arrived by private vehicle at an urgent care center in Brentwood. He suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and a Pittsburgh EMS medic unit transferred him to a Pittsburgh hospital in stable condition.
The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the separate locations.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating. There are no arrests at this time.
