Date: August 20, 2024 Incident Type: Burglary Location: Zone 3 Summary:
Zone 3 officers were dispatched to a business in the 2400 block of Arlington Avenue after the business owner reported reviewing his security camera footage and finding his store was burglarized overnight.
An adult male backed his car into the front door of the business to gain entry and was able to steal approximately 100 cartons of cigarettes worth thousands of dollars.
No one was inside the store at the time and there was no burglar alarm activation.
Crime Scene Unit detectives processed the scene.
After reviewing video of the incident, plainclothes detectives have positively identified a suspect for an adult male and have applied for an arrest warrant.
