Just after 9:35 p.m. on August 22, Pittsburgh Police responded to Shadyside Hospital for a 32-year-old male who walked into the ER with gunshot wounds to his leg.
He told officers he was standing at a bus stop in the area of Centre Ave. and S. Negley Ave. when he heard gunshots and felt pain in his leg.
Medic 11 transported the patient in stable condition to a trauma center for further treatment.
Mobile Crime Unit detectives responded to the area, but could not immediately locate a crime scene.
Violent Crime Unit detectives will continue with the investigation.
