Date: August 9, 2024 Incident Type: Vehicle vs. Motorcycle Collision Location: Zone 4 Summary:
Pittsburgh Police, Fire, and EMS were dispatched at approximately 9:45 p.m. to Glass Run Road at Baldwin Road in Hays for a reported vehicle versus motorcycle collision.
Arriving responders found an adult male motorcycle driver on the roadway with significant injuries. He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition and taken immediately into surgery.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was uninjured.
Collision Investigation Unit detectives were called to the scene to investigate.
The initial investigation indicates the driver of the vehicle ran a red light while under the influence. Charges are forthcoming.
The motorcyclist remains in critical condition.
