Just after 3:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to a business in the 100 block of N. Beatty St. for a burglar alarm activation.
Responding units noticed the front window was broken and there were visible signs of forced entry through a front plexiglass window panel. Officers observed a silhouette of a person or people inside and tried to hail them out of the building. The actors attempted to flee out a side door, but one was apprehended.
The second actor retreated back inside. Officers called for backup before entering the premises to look for him. After several verbal hails he came upstairs from the basement and was also placed in custody without issue. Officers cleared and secured the building.
Following consultation with juvenile probation, both males were released to the care of their respective guardians.
