Pittsburgh Police Investigate Shooting in Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar

Summary:

Just before 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 were dispatched to the 1400 block of Grotto Street for a five-round ShotSpotter alert.

Just after arriving at the scene, a second call was dispatched for two females shot in the 6600 block of Deary Street.

One female suffered a gunshot wound to her neck and was transported by Pittsburgh EMS in serious but stable condition to a local hospital.

The second female victim sustained a graze wound to her back. She was treated by Pittsburgh EMS at the scene, but denied further care or transport

The Mobile Crime Unit was called to process evidence at both locations, including recovered shell casing from the scene at Grotto Street.

Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating. The investigation is ongoing.
