Location: Burglary arrest
Summary:

On February 25th, 2024 at 10:30 p.m., Zone 1 officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of Ley Street for a burglary in progress. While en route, the 82-year old female caller advised that the actor had left the scene. Upon the officers' arrival, she stated that she was asleep when her home security alarm went off.

After walking through her house she discovered a side door wide open. She provided police with security video of the male attempting to open a locked front door and then using a key to successfully open the side door. After less than one minute inside, the male actor exited the house through the same side door and walked down Ley Street.

Nothing was stolen from the home. The victim did not know or recognize the male and didn't know how he came to be in possession of a key to her house.

On Thursday, February 29, officers were able to identify the actor from the video and obtain a warrant for his arrest.

William King was arrested and charged with Burglary, Criminal Trespass, and Stalking.

He was transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
