Summary:

At approximately 1:20 p.m., the Pittsburgh Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, arrested Riyad Christian, 34, without incident in the 2600 block of Brownsville Road.

Christian was wanted for the April 13, 2021 homicide of Don Angelo Castaphney in the 1300 block of Montezuma Street. He has been wanted on a homicide warrant since last November.

On November 19, 2022, the Pittsburgh Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit and the Glassport Borough Police Department arrested his younger brother, Hanif Green, who was also charged in the same homicide.

Riyad Christian is charged with Criminal Homicide, Criminal Conspiracy, Robbery, Corruption of a Minor, and a firearms violation.

He was transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
