Pittsburgh Police Special Victims Unit detectives have been actively investigating a sexual assault that case that was reported to have occurred in the early morning hours of October 7, 2023 inside a residence in the 500 block of Rosedale Street.
A female victim in her 80s was transported to the hospital by medics to be evaluated after speaking with police.
Detectives have been speaking with neighbors and searching for any available video to aid in their investigation. At this time, there is no suspect information to provide to the public.
Anyone with information or video they believe would be helpful to the case is asking to call Pittsburgh Police headquarters at (412) 323-7800 and ask for SVU detectives.
Due to the extremely sensitive nature of such cases, and in the interest of protecting victims, no further details regarding this incident will be provided by police.
