Date: October 26, 2023 Incident Type: Stabbing Location: Zone 2 Summary:
Just before 6:00 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 2 were dispatched to the 800 block of Liberty Avenue for reports of a stabbing.
Arriving officers located a 17-year-old male victim with a stab wound to his upper back and another to his shoulder. Medics transported the victim in serious condition.
The victim had been assisted by individuals who took him into a nearby business and rendered aid until officers and medics arrived.
The Mobile Crime Unit responded to process the crime scene located at the corner of Liberty Avenue and Strawberry Way.
Zone 2 detectives are continuing the investigation.
