Summary:
Just before 5:00 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 were dispatched to the 2000 block of Fairlawn Street for a ten-round ShotSpotter alert.
Upon arrival, officers located a 17-year-old male victim on the porch of a home in the 1900 block of Fairlawn. He had multiple gunshot wounds to his thigh and buttocks. He was conscious, alert, and speaking with officers. He was transported by Medic 11 in stable condition to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
A crime scene was located in the intersection of Fairlawn Street and Sunrise Avenue. The Mobile Crime Unit was called to process evidence, including recovered shell casings.
A short time later, a male in his mid-20's arrived by private vehicle to UPMC St. Margaret Hospital in stable condition with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was uncooperative with police, but the initial investigation indicates his injuries are related to the shooting incident.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating. The investigation is ongoing.
