The Pittsburgh Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit and Violent Crime Unit detectives, the U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, and Allegheny County Police have made two arrests in the December 1, 2022 murders of a mother and child.

21-year-old Temani Lewis and her 4-year-old daughter Kaari Thompson were shot in the 1500 block of Lincoln Avenue. They died later in the hospital.

On the morning of October 6, 2023, police arrested Marquise Givner and Tarrell Jennings, both 19, without incident.

Marquise Givner is charged with two counts of Criminal Homicide, one count of Criminal Attempt, Criminal Conspiracy, Aggravated Assault, and Carrying a Firearm Without a License.

Tarrell Jennings is charged with two counts of Criminal Homicide, one count of Criminal Attempt, Criminal Conspiracy and Aggravated Assault.
