The City of Pittsburgh, CitiParks Celebrate National Farmers Market Week with City-Wide Festivities
Live music, yoga, kids' activities, giveaways, and fresh local food highlight the vibrant role of farmers markets in our neighborhoods
Pittsburgh, PA – The City of Pittsburgh and CitiParks are proud to join communities across the country in celebrating National Farmers Market Week, from Sunday, August 3 through Saturday, August 9, 2025. This annual event shines a spotlight on the essential role that farmers markets play in strengthening local economies, supporting healthy lifestyles, and bringing neighborhoods together.
Throughout the week, Pittsburghers can enjoy live music, yoga, family-friendly activities, giveaways, and of course, an abundance of fresh, locally grown food. Our farmers markets are more than just a place to shop—they’re a space to connect, celebrate, and nourish both body and community.
“Farmers markets are part of what makes our city vibrant,” said Mayor Ed Gainey. “They bring people together, support our local growers, and create a sense of belonging in every neighborhood they touch.”
