Pittsburgh, PA – Following additional investigations into the Schenley Park Bridges, the Schenley Drive Bridge will be load posted for 27 Tons, except 34 Tons in combination. Additionally, the traffic pattern will be modified to ensure safe operation for motorists. These changes will not impact access to the two-way bike lane or sidewalks for bicyclists or pedestrians. Work begun on Tuesday, December 17th and will continue through the work week. Motorists should anticipate short traffic stoppages while a contractor implements the changes.
Investigations into the issues identified in October on the Panther Hollow Road Bridge are on-going and the City will provide an update in the New Year.
