O’Connor Administration and URA Open Opportunity for New Housing Construction Across Larimer Community

Pittsburgh, PA – To open the opportunity to create new homes and housing opportunities in Larimer in partnership with the community, the O’Connor Administration and the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) announced that a Request for Interest (RFI) in several City- and URA-owned vacant lots across the neighborhood will be released on June 22, 2026.

The RFI invites home builders to submit ideas and interest in the construction of new, high-quality housing or mixed-use residential. While the available lots, which are scattered throughout the neighborhood, are vacant, many once had homes on them and represent an opportunity to work with the community to restore housing and bring investment and families to the neighborhood.

The RFI will be released on the URA’s proposals and bids website on June 22 and proposals are due by August 24.
