OUTfest: A First-of-its-Kind Celebration of Pittsburgh’s LGBTQIA+ Community

Pittsburgh, PA – Residents are encouraged to celebrate OUTfest this October, an inaugural City of Pittsburgh event celebrating the vibrant culture and spirit of the city’s LGBTQIA+ community. Inspired by similar festivals nationwide, Mayor Ed Gainey envisioned OUTfest as a platform to uplift local community members and highlight their meaningful impact on Pittsburgh.

Scheduled for October 11, 2025—National Coming Out Day—OUTfest invites residents and visitors alike to embrace authenticity and celebrate diversity within our city. Everyone is encouraged to bring friends, family, and loved ones to connect with community organizations and experience the rich contributions of Pittsburgh’s LGBTQIA+ community.

“OUTfest is more than just a celebration — it’s a statement about who we are as a city,” said Mayor Ed Gainey. “By coming together to honor our LGBTQIA+ community, we embrace the values of inclusion, love, and resilience that make Pittsburgh strong. This event is an opportunity for everyone to feel seen, supported, and celebrated for their authentic selves.”

The festival will be held at Hazelwood Green from 3PM to 8PM, featuring food, music, live performances, and family-friendly activities.

Join us as we come together to honor the strength, creativity, and resilience of Pittsburgh’s LGBTQIA+ community.
