Pittsburgh, PA – The City of Pittsburgh is proud to announce its plans for a once-in-a-generation celebration: the 250th anniversary of the United States of America in 2026. In honor of this historic milestone, the City is seeking partners to support and elevate the centerpiece of the celebration—Pittsburgh’s Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular—set to take place at a location to be announced soon.
As the nation prepares to celebrate the 250th anniversary of its founding, the City is committed to delivering a celebration worthy of this historic moment. Through the leadership of the CitiParks Office of Special Events, plans are underway to create an unforgettable event that will unite residents, visitors, and communities across the region in a grand display of patriotism, pride, and Pittsburgh spirit.
“This will be more than a fireworks display. It will be a moment of unity, reflection, and celebration for all Pittsburghers and guests alike,” said Kathryn Vargas, Director of CitiParks. “We’re inviting community-minded organizations and businesses to join us in shaping this extraordinary tribute to our nation's 250th birthday.”
Partnership opportunities are available at a variety of levels, offering unique visibility and engagement for partners while contributing to a dynamic community and economic impact. The event will attract tens of thousands of attendees and receive regional media coverage.
This is a unique chance to help light up Pittsburgh’s skyline and be part of history by supporting a milestone celebration that will leave a lasting impression on our city and its residents.
Organizations interested in partnership opportunities are encouraged to contact Brandon D’Alimonte, Program Manager of the CitiParks Office of Special Events, at Brandon.Dalimonte@pittsburghpa.gov.
Together, let’s make the 250th Independence Day an unforgettable celebration for generations to come.
