City of Pittsburgh Launches OneStopPGH Insights Tool to Empower Residents with Enhanced Transparency

Pittsburgh, PA – The City of Pittsburgh is proud to announce the launch of the OneStopPGH Insights Tool on June 2, a powerful, public-facing map platform designed to increase transparency and give residents easier access to essential information about their neighborhoods.

Developed in collaboration with several city departments, the OneStopPGH Insights Tool consolidates a wide range of datasets into one interactive, user-friendly platform. Residents can now explore detailed records and workflows related to development, permitting, public infrastructure, and safety—all in one place.

“This is more than just a map—it's a window into how the city works,” said Mayor Ed Gainey. “By bringing all these datasets together in one tool, we’re making it easier than ever for residents to understand what’s happening around them, participate in local government, and hold us accountable.”

Key Features of the OneStopPGH Insights Tool:

The tool includes interactive mapping and real-time updates on the following datasets:

  • PLI Permits

  • Zoning Applications

  • Code Enforcement Cases (for PLI, DOMI, and Environmental Services)

  • Condemned and Dead-End Properties

  • Rental and Child Care Registrations

  • DOMI Development Permits – including curb cuts and encroachments

Coming Soon:

  • DOMI Construction and Utility Permits will be integrated into the tool for even more comprehensive access.

  • Additional Maps and Features After:

  • DOMI Right-of-Way Obstructions Map: Shows all permitted obstructions including road closures, sidewalk closures, and temporary no-parking areas.

  • DOMI Project Map: Provides locations, project types, and status updates for infrastructure projects by DOMI and PennDOT.

  • Pittsburgh City Paving Page: Includes weekly milling and paving schedules and a five-year paving history map.

The OneStopPGH Insights Tool is a cross-departmental collaboration between:

  • Department of City Planning (DCP): Regulating sustainable and equitable development

  • Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI): Overseeing safe access and construction in public rights-of-way

  • Permits, Licenses, and Inspections (PLI): Ensuring compliance with local and international safety standards

  • Department of Public Works (DPW): Maintaining a clean and environmentally responsible city

Explore the OneStopPGH Insights Tool starting June 2nd.
