Pittsburgh, PA – The City of Pittsburgh’s administrative offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026 in observance of Independence Day. Additional public facilities and services will be closed or have limited hours over this weekend due to the holiday.

CitiParks facilities will operate on the following schedules:
Outdoor Pools
Homewood, McBride and Sue Murray pools are closed.
Healthy Active Living Senior Centers
Recreation Centers
Mellon Park Tennis Bubble
Schenley Roller Rink

No Changes for Trash and Recycling Collection
Trash and recycling collection will NOT be affected by the holiday, but continue as normal for households whose regular collection day is Friday. Trash and recycling can be placed at the curb before 6:00 AM on collection day or 6:00 PM the evening before.
Residents can see their scheduled collection days, including holiday schedules, on the annual collection schedule and newsletter. Residents with questions can contact the Bureau of Environmental Services at 412-255-2773.
