CitiSports and Pirates’ Nike RBI Mayor’s Cup Championships Kick Off

“The RBI Mayor’s Cup Championship is a great way to celebrate youth sports in Pittsburgh. These young athletes have worked hard all season and will have an unforgettable experience playing on the home field of the Pittsburgh Pirates,” said Mayor Corey O’Connor. “We are grateful to the Pirates for their partnership and can’t wait to see who brings home the Cup.”

Previously held over two days, this is the first year the Mayor’s Cup will be spread over three days so that all RBI division finalists have the opportunity to play at PNC Park. Games start today (Thursday, July 30) and continue on Monday, August 3 and Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

“The RBI Championships are about much more than crowning champions—they're about celebrating the hard work, dedication, and growth these young athletes have shown throughout the season,” said Eric Sloan, the City of Pittsburgh’s Director of Parks and Recreation. “Thanks to our outstanding partnership with the Pittsburgh Pirates, our players have the incredible opportunity to compete on one of the most iconic fields in baseball. For many of these players, stepping onto the field at PNC Park is a memory they'll carry with them for the rest of their lives, and we're proud to help make that experience possible.” 

The Nike RBI Mayor’s Cup Championship is free for families and the public, and free parking is available in Red Lots 7A and 7C. Games will start as soon as possible following the preceding award ceremony, up to one hour prior to the listed start time.
