CITY OF PITTSBURGH ANNOUNCES
CITIPARKS 2025 FARMERS MARKET SCHEDULE
Pittsburgh, PA – The City of Pittsburgh is excited to announce the return of the beloved CitiParks Farmers Markets for the 2025 season! Bursting with the colors, flavors, and sounds of summer, the markets offer residents and visitors a chance to shop fresh, local, and sustainable—right in their own neighborhoods.
Operated by the City’s Department of Parks & Recreation (CitiParks), this year’s markets promise expanded vendor selections, revamped layouts, and new community programming aimed at making each visit more engaging and accessible than ever before.
“We’re thrilled about this year’s Farmers Markets and the continued investment in our city’s local economy. Our goal is to support the growth of small, sustainable businesses while creating an experience that every Pittsburgher will be excited to be part of,” said Kathryn Vargas, CitiParks Director. “With revamped market layouts, we’re able to add more vendors and continue to increase food access in these city neighborhoods!”
The Squirrel Hill Market opens with a special market on Sunday, May 11th to celebrate Mother’s Day. We will also be offering a Beer Garden at the Northside Market on the last Friday of every month, that will include musical entertainment. Special programming and theme weeks with community partners and more will be featured at the Markets beginning in June.
With four neighborhood markets operating throughout the city, there’s something for everyone—whether you’re looking for the season’s freshest produce, artisan goods, or just a great way to spend an afternoon outdoors.
The 2025 Market Locations/Schedule is as follows:
(May 11 – Dec. 21) Beacon/Bartlett parking lot
(June 2 – Nov. 17) Liberty Green Park, Larimer Ave.
(June 4 – Nov. 19) Carrick Dairy District, 1529 Brownsville Rd.
(May 16 – Nov. 21) Allegheny Commons Park, East Ohio & Cedar
Shoppers with SNAP benefits can get fresh, nutritious and local-grown food, including produce, meat, dairy, bread and baked goods, produce plants, seeds and honey. (Hot prepared food items, alcohol and non-food items are not eligible for SNAP purchases.) Food Bucks give Fresh Access food stamp shoppers extra money to spend on fruits and veggies. For every $5 spent in food stamps, receive an extra $2 to spend on produce. For 2025 Market Season, Just Harvest will add another $3 to this thanks to a generous grant from the Food Justice Fund—thus doubling SNAP Benefits at all CitiParks Farmers Markets in the 2025 Season.
