Violent Crime Detectives Investigate Homicide in Bedford Dwellings

At 2:55 a.m., Zone 2 officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Chauncey Dr. for reports of a female shot. Responding units located her on the ground just inside the doorway of an apartment.

Medics pronounced her deceased at the scene. A male actor fled the area on foot.

Crime Scene Unit detectives recovered 5-6 shell casings at the scene.

The Violent Crime Unit will investigate.
