Police Make Arson Arrest in Windgap House Fire

Following multiple 911 calls, Pittsburgh Fire was dispatched to the 3800 block of Windgap Ave.for a 1-alarm residential structure fire.

When crews arrived on scene, three residents had already escaped out of the back of the structure without injury. Firefighters extinguished the fire which originated on the front porch.

Fire investigators established that the fire was suspicious in nature. A suspect was detained in Kennedy Township and transported to Pittsburgh Police headquarters for questioning.

Timothy Hamilton, 45, was arrested on multiple charges and transported to the ACJ.
